MPLBM

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

We start a trip on November 3 that will last three weeks and that will lead us to discover new places while doing some Geocaching ... We spent three days in San Francisco ... We knew we could not see everything, but it certainly gave us the taste to come back to visit this beautiful city ... We moved in Hop on Hop off, which allowed us to know a little the history of this city, to visit the Alcatraz Island and walk to discover some caches ... Geocaching often makes us discover beautiful places ...

Yesterday, we flew to spend two days in your area where we joined our friends jgsepromene ... Today we took Old Town Trolley to do a city tour, we visited the aircraft carrier USS Midway and managed to sign some caches ... In a word, we had a beautiful day ... Tomorrow we will go on a cruise with our friends for a period of two weeks, which will make us discover new countries .. We will make stops at Sabo San Lucas, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala - Puntarenas, Costa Rica - Colon, Panama - Cartagena, Colombia and we will end in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before returning to our corner of the country. .. We will certainly discover beautiful places that the geocachers of different cities will want to show us while trying to sign some caches ...

Thank you for creating these caches that allowed us to add smiles to our profile, to achieve our personal goals and to discover new places ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFBM

Mit Stage_Worm diesen Benchmark gesucht und gefunden.....

Auch diesen Benchmark konnten wir gleich entdecken !!!

I drive by this almost once a week!

Standing and discovering DC1719 I had a look if there are any other NGS close and realised that I just had to turn around to discover this one. The San Diego Grant Hotel was right in front of me, but I only could check the SW corner at ground level.

Observed while geocaching in the area.

Southwest corner is on the left side of the photo.

Saw when I was visiting the area.

Unable to access the roof, but the SW corner is visible and in good shape. Will return to attempt a closer reconnaissance in the future....

We spent a few days in San Diego exploring the historical sights, caching, and waymarking along the way. Thanks for adding to our fun!

I work in the building right across the street, but we are moving tomorrow, so I took the best pictures I could with my Iphone camera. I can't see whether there is a cross carved into the concrete at the corner because I could not zoom in any further - but here are the photos I got - maybe some other software could be used to zoom in. Or someone could ask to go up on the roof and check it out...

I did not discover or find this one, due to the fact that it is not accessible.
Sure, I can read the description and say it should be up there somewhere.
However, that is not the same as actually visually seeing it.

Could not get to the roof but here is the picture of where it is supposed to be.

These are hard to claim as a find on the roof of a building... but the hotel is still there and beautiful..

Discovered on a business trip. Didn't get on the roof but was able to see it.

Found on our way home from the zoo.

Here on business, requested to view and got it :D

With Brattt. Found during our business trip to San Diego.

Stayed at the Grant during our business trip to San Diego!

Found the hotel. Didn't quite get to the roof.

to get to the southwest corner of the roof, you have to go onto the floor with the ballroom, take the back elevator up to the top, climb up stairs, out the window and onto the roof. Pretty dangerous. I did it a few times when I worked there about four years ago. Someone else beat me to it because I found a glass weed pipe up there. Didn't know about caching or benchmarks then, so I never looked for anything like a mark.

Still haven't found a way to get to the SW corner of the roof, but I'm still trying. I work across the street and look right down on it.
