Found this about 60 feet from posted. It's in the obvious location though.

60 feet off posted

I recently found a NCEES Surveyor Trackable (TB728GK) in a cache and so making rounds to some Denton area markers for photos before releasing it to another cache. This marker was just a few feet away from cache GC42RG8.

I saw this one before but didn't log it so I found it again today amidst all the tall grass. Still in good condition.

Out hunting for a couple waymarks so I stopped by to find this benchmark. I remember being her to FTF a nearby geocache one late, cold night. Thanks for the benchmark.

Like many others, saw this one while getting the cache right next to it. Usually I have to plan trips to locate a benchmark. Getting one this way is really super.

Discovered this one (my first!) while hunting the nearby cache...

Spotted this one while grabbing the nearby cache. Still in great condition, and probably safer on private property than on the right of way.

After finding the cache to the right a few feet, I searched this out. It took me a minute but I spotted it. Very cool!! I don't have too many benchmarks but it is neat finding them.

Thanks so much!

I would have posted my pic but it still looks the same as the last posted pic.

Found but it on the other side of the fence so be careful.

Found it along with a near by cache. Both should last awhile longer.
Looks to have been there for a number of years and is out of the way of the Cable Crew,so should last a few more years.

B-950-1946 right at dark.

Found with Jugg when finding a nearby cache. :)

Logging on 4-16-13. Was found on 3-22-13 along with a nearby cache, but didn't log then as we weren't familiar with benchmarks at that time. In great shape!

Found while signing the log for geocache GC42RG8 - How Many, How Much! Photo to follow!

N 33° 15.824 W 097° 07.158

I had N33 15.824 W097 07.158 on my side of the fence, Across the street from the school for Wee Folk.
Looking on Google Earth my coords are a few feet west of the BM. But if you follow the fence line East of the corner you should find it. It is still just on the other side of the fence and is elevated about 12 inches.

This is just inside the fence line on private property as described. Zoomed in for the pic.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
