didn't notice it

Visited at dusk today and couldn't find it. From the description, it appears that it is in a flowerbed and I didn't want to try looking for that with less than adequate lighting.

Found the mark easily, but my GPS and the posted coordinates of the disk disagreed by about 50 ft. My GPS said the estimated percent error was 20 ft. So, either the GPS or the posted coordinates are about 30 ft. out of plumb.
Hint: To take a good photo of the disk you should take along a companion. - Deguello

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
