Working on a benchmark challenge.
Kinda feel like dining 99 bottles of beer on the wall....only change the words slightly.
41 benchmark left on the wall.

I was hopeful that this benchmark disk was still in the area. As I drove up I saw that barriers had been erected and a fence was around the entire corner site. Heavy machinery was removing the last of the buildings as I started walking to the coordinates. I was looking based on the last picture of the marker on an exposed chunk of concrete. I had no luck so I expanded my thoughts on what might have happened to the disk. Thats when I noticed a small portion of the disk peeking out of a grassy area outside the construction zone. I dug out the area and there it was. The pictures I am providing will, hopefully, help the next searcher if the construction does not extend this far.

I was surprised to see the construction has not claimed this benchmark. Still there.

Due to expansion of Hwy 380 it looks like the marker may have been swallowed up by all the construction vehicles and supplies. I searched the area and checked all visible chunks of broken up concrete without luck. As equipment and supplies start to clear out I will check back by here.

Found this with the help of some previous logs, despite the current construction. The piece of concrete this marker is embedded in has barely survived (compared to older photos) but it is still in the same general area.

I was worried with the road work and heavy equipment at this site that this marker might be covered in mud... It was not and I found it quickly.

We found this but got our pictures out of order so I think I must of deleted a couple before I realized we had not logged it yet. Best I got is a no flash picture at night. Will revisit soon for a better pic.
