drove over to check this one out and found it destroyed, There is a security fence with a sign, 'City of Denton No Tresspassing, Video Surveillance' Along with 2 pad locks on the fence gate entrance on N. Bell. I could make out the concrete footings.

The tank no longer exists.

Cement pillers are the only thing still here, they must have just tore this down

Passed this many times so I'd better log it.

Still standing with an OOOGLY paint scheme.

Found this at night with LC. Tough to photo at night, but it's there.

1st of 3 today.

Found Benchmark and is in good condition except the red paint is fading.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 (RLE) THE STATION IS LOCATED ON A HIGH HILL AT THE NORTH EDGE OF DENTON, 0.1 MILE WEST OF THE JUNCTION OF BROWN DRIVE, SHERMAN DRIVE AND STATE ROUTE NO. 10. THE TANK HAS A CONICAL ROOF WITH A BALL AT THE APEX, IS SUPPORTED BY A SIX LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE AND HAS AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF 60 FEET. THE POINT OBSERVED UPON WAS THE TOP AND CENTER OF THE ROOF.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1979 (DAH) RECOVERED AS DESCRIBED IN GOOD CONDITION. THE TANK IS NOW PAINTED WHITE WITH DIAGONAL SECTIONS OF RED. AIRLINE DISTANCE AND DIRECTION FROM NEAREST TOWN--NORTH EDGE OF THE TOWN OF DENTON.
