The previous log is in error. According to the official NGS description, the mark is stamped '1714.08 912+45', and is located 'in the headwall of a concrete culvert'. The photos provided in the previous log do not show either of these characteristics. In fact, there is no longer a culvert at the described location. Assumed destroyed.

ON A CULVERT HEADWALL, SOUTH OF THE EAST BOUND LANE. U.S. 60, 70, AND 80, EAST OF APACHE JUNCTION. AN AHD BRASS CAP, SET IN A CONCRETE CULVERT HEADWALL.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
