Yes it is still there. It still says Honeywell on the side and it is white.

In town for business meetings with a customer VERY relevant to this location, so I had to visit. Nighttime was the right time, so I was lucky enough to catch the red lights!

The tank is located in the midst of what is now the Honeywell Deer Valley facility (Aerospace and Process Solutions).

The original tank is still here. Was unable to verify if the original 18-inch vent still exists but it looks like it might (camera telephoto was not good enough to confirm).

Drive by here all the time. I guess its time I got out the camera and took a picture to prove it. I tried to get as close as I could and gave up since it is on private property.

The Water Tower at this location was recovered in good condition. It now says Honeywell, instead of Sperry, and is painted white.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (SLH) LOCATED ABOUT 1 MILE SOUTHEAST OF THE VILLAGE OF ADOBE AND 0.8 MILE EAST OF STATE HIGHWAY 69. REACHED FROM THE JUNCTION OF CAMELBACK ROAD AND BLACK CANYON HIGHWAY IN PHOENIX BY GOING NORTH ON ARIZONA STATE HIGHWAY 69 FOR 11.7 MILES TO DEER VALLEY DRIVE. TURN RIGHT AND GO EAST FOR 0.7 MILE TO NORTH 19TH AVENUE, TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.3 MILE TO THE ENTRANCE TO THE DEER VALLEY PLANT OF SPERRY-PHOENIX COMPANY. THE OBJECT INTERSECTED IS THE VENT, 18 INCHES TALL, IN THE CENTER OF THE DOMED TOP OF THE ELEVATED WATER TANK, 129 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. THE TANK IS SUPPORTED BY 6 CYLINDERICAL STEEL LEGS RESTING ON CONCRETE BASES. IT IS 945 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF NORTH 19TH AVENUE, 713 FEET NORTH OF THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER SECTION AND 380 FEET FROM THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE PLANT, WINDOWLESS CONCRETE BUILDING.

  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
