Recovered in good condition.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say Im glad you here bro!

And for always being there!

Came up here at night, going to add these onto my night cache in the area. Very cool, best I've seen yet.

This was one of the neatest benchmarks I've found.

Found this guy while doing puzzle cache at PIR. March 2013 and just logging. Nice view from here. I used to watch races from here in the 80s.

Found it while grabbing a nearby cache last year. Didn't even realize what it was at first. Now going back and logging old BMs I've photo'd and found. I've lived and worked near this thing for eight years and never knew about it. This is what I love about Geocaching, it brings me to neat places like this. A piece of Arizona history. Thanks for bringing me here.

Walked up the Hill despite the very annoying Security guard that was at the racetrack.
I worked as a land surveyor in Canada for over 30 years where the land system in the USA is similiar to Canada. We adopted the American system and added 1 chain road allowances every e/w mile running North and South and every 2 miles north running east and west..similiar but different in respect that we start at 1 on the bottom and end at 36 on the NE corner. I will upload some good photos when I get on a better connection....enjoyed this hike and the History of this place immensely.

Hiked up here prior to the Subway Fresh Fit 600 at PIR on 4/10/2010. The central disk clearly states it is the Initial Point established in 1865.

N 33° 22.631 W 112° 18.369

Found in good shape overlooking PIR.

Was out here for work, and decided to go for a little hike. Thanks for the discovery!!

Was out on a walk today. What a great benchmark

Now I've been to the spot where it all originated from.

There used to be a guy who painted range and township information on black metal paintcan lids and placed them all over town in the 60s and 70s.

Interesting place in Arizona history.

This station is long gone, the existing mark was set in 1962 as a replacement. TT-ZW-9 is not station INITIAL MONUMENT.

Recovered the mark in bad condition, but readable, two meters from the monument, and a second 2 meters from that which was unexpected.

I want to upload these pictures of the monument that I took today. I have a real cheap camera, I hope someone could get up there to log the detail.
