DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1948 (DHK) THE STATION IS LOCATED 16.4 MILES WEST OF WICKENBURG, ABOUT 8.5 MILES EAST OF AGUILA, 0.3 MILE NORTH OF U.S. HIGHWAYS 60 AND 70, 26 PACES SOUTHEAST OF GUARD HOUSE AT ENTRANCE TO AIRPORT, 13 PACES EAST OF CENTER LINE OF ROAD, 7 FEET EAST OF FENCELINE, 6 FEET EAST OF A 4 X 4 WITNESS POST, PROJECTS 3 INCHES AND IS STAMPED, ECHEVERRIA 1948. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS APPROXIMATELY THE SAME ELEVATION AS STATION, 6 PACES EAST OF CENTER LINE OF ROAD, 1 FOOT EAST OF FENCE LINE, PROJECTS 3 INCHES AND IS STAMPED, ECHEVERRIA NO 1 1948. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS APPROXIMATELY THE SAME ELEVATION AS STATION, 13 FEET EAST OF CENTER LINE OF ROAD AT AIRPORT ENTRANCE, 5 FEET EAST OF EAST POST AT ENTRANCE, 6 INCHES SOUTH OF FENCE LINE, FLUSH, AND IS STAMPED, ECHEVERRIA NO 2 1948. THE AZIMUTH MARK, A U.S. GENERAL LAND OFFICE CORNER SURVEY MARK, IS LOCATED IN A NORTH-SOUTH FENCE LINE, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF A 2-1/2 INCH IRON PIPE WHICH PROJECTS ABOUT 10 FEET. THE MARK IS A CAP ON TOP OF A 2-1/2 INCH IRON PIPE WHICH PROJECTS 1 FT. AND IS STAMPED, T7N, S8, R7W, S9, S17, S16, 1914, TO REACH FROM UNDERPASS IN WICKENBURG. GO WEST ON U.S. HIGHWAYS 60 AND 70 FOR 16.4 MILES TO A ROAD RIGHT WHICH IS THE ENTRANCE OF THE ECHEVERRIA AIRPORT. TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.35 MILES TO GUARD HOUSE AND STATION ON RIGHT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. A DRIVE STATION.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1971 (EHT) STATION, REFERENCE MARKS AND AZIMUTH RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION AS DESCRIBED. ADD-A 5 FT WITNESS POST WITH SIGN WAS DRIVEN IN THE GROUND 4 FT EAST OF STATION PROJECTS 3 IN THE AZIMUTH MARK 0.60 MILE NORTH OF THE STATION.

RECOVERY NOTE BY ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 1985 (BK) THE STATION MARK, REFERENCE MARK 1 AND THE AZIMUTH MARK WERE RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. REFERENCE MARK 2 WAS NOT RECOVERED AND REFERENCE MARK 3 WAS ESTABLISHED AT THIS TIME. THE 1948 ROUTE TO THE STATION IS ADEQUATE FOR RECOVERY. REFERENCE MARK 3 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED---ECHEVERRIA NO 3 1948 1984---. IT IS SET IN TOP OF A 10 INCH CONCRETE MONUMENT WHICH PROJECTS 4 INCHES. IT IS 32 FEET EAST OF THE PAVED ROAD LEADING TO THE OLD AIRPORT AND 15 FEET EAST OF THE RIGHT OF WAY FENCE LINE.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in August 1993.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
