About 250ft to the North of Pecos Rd. in an open area. There is a stake next to the marker. The concrete disk the marker is mounted in has been outlined in red spray paint and some of the cardboard form is still on the outside of the disk.

The waypoint coordinates represent a 150 sample average of location with about 6' uncertainty reported by my GPS receiver using WAAS. GPS measured altitude 1146 ft. I calculate that my measured position is approx. 10ft to NW of waypoint coordinates, which is slightly more than the uncertainty reported by GPS receiver.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by GPS observations and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in August 1993.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
