In good shape

Okay again visiting old benchmarks for current contest. It has been 18 month since last visit and this time entire monument is painted orange. Looks like SD co. has been out document all BM on this road. Recovered in good condition.

This seemed more than 50' off, but managed to find it on 2nd attempt.

Just north of BM DX3535 on same side of road. Another easy find, third of the day. This one was only about 50 feet off the mark.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
