Station recovered in good condition.

Station is about 3.9 miles north along the Georgia Northeastern Railroad from the station in Blue Ridge. Station is .34 miles north along the railroad from mile marker 392 where the railroad joins the Toccoa river, and about .25 miles airline SE of Weaver Cemetary.
Station is 13 rails or about 503 feet north along the railroad from a whistle post, and 18.5 rails or about 720 feet south along the railroad from a farm crossing.
Mark is the stem of a disk (disk has been torn off) embedded in a boulder slanted at 90 degrees upward to the east on the east side of the railroad. Top of boulder around stem is painted white. Step is 4-5 inches below ground.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
