Very red!

Found with BBB. Has a really good coat of paint over it.

Still there and still painted over.....

Noticed as I was driving thru downtown.

Went for a walk in town and logged this one and EE0234 just because I was there. This one was hard to make out because it's been painted over with a thick coat of red paint. But if you look really close, you can just make out the 967 designation mark.

Yup, it's still there, visible from the light. Hooray for rush-hour traffic!

Spotted the benchmark while waiting at the light. Got out and looked closer real quick...

It's completely painted over in red paint (as is the building), some of the detail info is very hard to read. "US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY" is still very easy to read.

Partially painted, as noted before. Easy to find.

The disk is partially painted over at the moment, but not hidden.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
