Found the broken off post as described. Interesting monument.

A few of us found this marker after climbing to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. The base of the marker is still in place and still broken. The orange marker post is still nearby and is still leaning. It looks like this is in the same condition as it was when red ink and Cardinal found it. Coordinates and posted descriptions are sufficient to find the marker.

Red Ink and I found this Boundary Monument in poor condition. It has been struck and broken in two. The octagonal base is still in place. The top could not be found. There is a flagged orange steel fence post in place about a foot away from the monument base. The Oklahoma side of the monument still contains the old RR grade. The RR grade has been leveled on the Arkansas side. The monument is approximately 23 feet North of the center of the old RR grade and approximately 100 feet North of the center of a gravel road. The monument is located at the approximate location of the posted coordinates. Bad satellite reception prevented getting accurate coordinates.
