We did not see a stack at this location anywhere. We have to conclude that it is gone.

I'm fairly sure this stack is gone, contrary to what was reported earlier. A stack is an industrial smokestack, which would be next to the power generation plant, and would be very noticeable. I don't see anything like that in this area.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1946 (CAE) THE STATION IS IN THE REAR OF THE GROUND OF THE VETERANS CENTER IN EAST ALBUQUERQUE, IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE FIRTLAND FIELD RESERVATION. THE STACK IS PROMINENT AND IS 10 METERS WEST OF THE POWER HOUSE.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1993.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
