RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 (LFW) THE STATION MARK, REFERENCE MARKS, AND AZIMUTH MARK WERE RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION IS ADEQUATE, BUT THE STATION CAN BE REACHED MORE CONVENIENTLY FROM THE GRAY MOUNTAIN TRADING POST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 89 N OF FLAGSTAFF. FROM THE TRADING POST, GO DUE W ON THE MAIN-TRAVELED GRADED ROAD FOR APPROXIMATELY 3.0 MI. TO A FENCE. PASS THROUGH THE FENCE AND TAKE THE EXTREME LEFT FORK PARALLELING THE FENCE FOR 0.3 MI. TO A FORK. TAKE THE RIGHT FORK AND CONTINUE ON THE MAIN-TRAVELED ROAD ACROSS SEVERAL WASHES AND THROUGH A CANYON.
