Was looking for RUNNING BOARD cache GCG1CK and found survey benchmark

found the sign but found empty hole(s) where benchmark should have been. everyone keeps loging as found but people from before logged as dug up ( which is what it looks like ) recent people say it is buried but from what we saw it ( they ) were gone

I found RM2 easily, but didn't realize that the station was buried. I saw the depression where it's located, and can now identify it from photos from previous finds. Thanks to southpawaz for uncovering it.

Per Description -- Mark is disc cemented in bedrock 8 inches below surrounding surface. Existing depression is NOT 8 inches deep, so it is likely still down there, just covered over again.

photowitness post, and remaining depression

Found this one at "Running Board" geocache with casper.

During our vacation-trip through parts of the western USA, we did “some” geocaching.

We had a lot of fun, we saw lots of amazing places and we say thank you to everyone who shared his geocache with us!!

found this one while caching

We saw the witness notice, and looked around for this today, but didn't see it. We found the nearby "Running Board" cache, but missed the benchmark.

Found it near running board cache.

We also were doing the nearby cache and found the benchmark. It is probably a good thing that geocachers keep digging it out or it would be buried forever.

This was a gimme while doing the nearby geocache.

(In retrospect, I should have rubbed the marker.)

photoWhich one?
photoOr that one?

We found this quite a while ago and just forgot to log it. We agree with the person who says that it needs to be dug out to be visible. If it disappears from view a quick look for a depression will send you to the right place.

Found it, it is below grade but someone had dug down and exposed it. If I'd had more time and a shovel I would have tried to better expose it.

Covered with dry mud, cleaned it up. Fun bonus while finding a cache.
