ShoppingGirl and I had a wonderful time this weekend in Ark. dodging bikers and biker moms and Jazz musicians and want to be Jazz musicians, and don't want to be homeless anymore drifter musicians, and still wana drift and make abuck from singing, and a a lot of just plain regular muggles.
Thanks for the caches in your home area , and some sweet bench marks that we got to see while searching. one thing you can count on most of the time.

Yep still here and in good shape.

The posted coordinates are approximately .65 miles off. The description couldn't be anything but the Crescent Hotel. Maybe the Ghost of the Crescent arranged to have the coordinates messed up so he/she wouldn't be bugged by geocachers. I found the disk as described in great shape.

Benchmark is in excellent condition; just left of the last window before the pool.

We have walked around this hotel dozens of times not knowing this BM was here. Now we have it logged. We stayed the weekend here one time a few years ago for our anniversary. It's a nice place to stay.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
