Coming from abroad, I was only vaguely aware of benchmarks when visiting the US in summer. I came across them on another cacher's profile today and thought, well I've been to at least one while in the states: the KS/MO/OK tristate corner with the virtual cache in OK. Now I discover that there are two benchmarks there that I've actually seen officially placed in KS and MO. So here I log, happy about my first two, though belated, benchmarks ever :-) A picture is attached with my virtual log: GLP4D7GX

The first time I came to this location I was looking for the nearby traditional cache and didn't know about Virtual caches or Benchmarks. It's been a couple of years; I didn't make it back here last year, so put the location on my short list for a visit. I didn't take time to look for the Witness post said to be along the road to the northeast of the markers, but did walk up to the buffalo fence for the triangulation station disk as well as the old and new boundary monuments. Spoke with Security and enjoyed the visit, although the buffaloes were on the other side of their run and not present here.
All Found 07 MAR 2014. Took 30-second averaged readings and photos.
As DougPeterson stated, the coordinates/descriptions for the old/new Boundary Monuments seem to be swapped.

I live near this site and have visited several times, having no idea that it was a geocache site. We visited, today, undaunted by rain and took a photo to mark our visit.

We recently moved to Fort Leonard Wood and had been needing to get down to Springfield to go to Bed Bath and Beyond and Sam's Club. Since we had to head in this general direction ANYway...I threw a slight detour into the plans to make sure we could visit the 3-State-Corner and pick up caches for Oklahoma and Kansas.

Really cool monument. Sad that all the plaques are missing.
