Delete the fence and witness post from the description. The disk is 3.5 feet northeast of a wood utility pole. The concrete post is slightly tilted towards the southwest, and is flush with the ground.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1960 (GWM) ABOUT 1 MILE NORTHEAST OF FAIRLAND, IN THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SEC. 3, T. 26 N., R. 23 E., AND ON HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY. IT IS 213 FEET NORTHEAST OF A FENCE CORNER, 59 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY 60, 4 FEET NORTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST AND 2 FEET NORTHWEST OF A WIRE FENCE. THE MONUMENT PROJECTS 5 INCHES AND THE DISK IS STAMPED FAIRLAND 1960. TO REACH FROM THE MAIN CROSSROAD IN FAIRLAND, GO NORTHEAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 60 FOR 0.25 MILE TO A RAILROAD CROSSING. CONTINUE NORTHEAST ON HIGHWAY 60 FOR 0.2 MILE TO THE AZIMUTH MARK ON THE LEFT. CONTINUE NORTHEAST ON HIGHWAY 60 FOR 0.55 MILE TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT. REFERENCE MARK 1 IS 60 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 42 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE WITNESS POST AND 1 FOOT NORTHWEST OF THE WIRE FENCE. THE MONUMENT PROJECTS 3 INCHES AND THE DISK IS STAMPED FAIRLAND NO 1 1960. REFERENCE MARK 2 IS 172 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE FENCE CORNER, 60 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE HIGHWAY, 38 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE WITNESS POST AND 1 FOOT NORTHWEST OF THE WIRE FENCE. THE MONUMENT PROJECTS 6 INCHES AND THE DISK IS STAMPED FAIRLAND NO 2 1960. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS 59 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 31 FEET EAST OF A T FENCE CORNER, 2 FEET NORTH OF A WITNESS POST AND 1 FOOT SOUTHEAST OF A WIRE FENCE.
