RECOVERY NOTE BY US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY 1956 STATION WAS FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. COVERED BY ABOUT HALF AN INCH OF DIRT. RECORDED DISTANCES TO THE TWO REFERENCE MARKS ARE INTERCHANGED. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 75.78 FEET SOUTHWEST FROM THE STATION AND REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS ABOUT 110 FEET NORTHEAST FROM STATION. IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO GET AN ACCURATE MEASUREMENT TO NO. 1 AS THERE IS AN OLD TRUCK WITH ONLY THREE WHEELS ON IT IN THE DIRECT LINE. ALSO TWO FENCES OF A CORRAL ARE IN THE WAY.
