Found it after visiting horseshoe bend.

Seen this one after visiting Horseshoe Bend.

Found this one while visiting Horseshoe Bend and am glad to be able to log it. We have benchmarks in Canada but geocaching doesn't recognize them.

Discovered this one while visiting horseshoe bend

Discovered on the way back from Horseshoe Bend.

Found it. Bring some water, although it's just a short walk to the canyon

Found this cache during our wonderful 14 days vacation in CA, AZ, NV & UT.
The trip (3200 miles - and 258 caches) was in outline:
L.A. - Route 66 - Grand Canyon NP - Page (Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend) - Zion NP - Red Rock Canyon (L.V.) - Death Valley NP - Sequoia NP - (Yosemite dropped because of snow :( ) - Muir Woods (S.F.) - Highway 1 to L.A. - Joshua Tree NP - L.A. + various detours from the route.

Found this one by accident walking back from the Horseshoe point overlook cache.

written description is right on, witness post is visible from highway.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
