Interesting that LHLV found this in October of 2016, as the last tower of the old Riviera was imploded in August of 2016. Oh well, in any event, this benchmark is gone, never to return.

It's there. TFTBM.

Found it.

I REALLY wanted to make the close up, complete find on this mark, but all my routes of approach were eliminated one by one, leaving my only two choices being illegal, and the other also being quite possibly fatal. I know that people have walked by the front of the casino, look up in the general area, and say they found it, so I am comforted by the fact I truly DID see the mark, just from further away than I wanted. I made my last attempt on June 6, 2015- The final day the public had access to the hotel before preparations were made to implode the building.

My 4th visit to Las Vegas. The Riviera is a very busy spot all the time!

Getting caught up on logging some of the benchmarks we have done. We noticed in the description for this one: THIS STATION MUST BE OBSERVED ECCENTRICALLY DUE TO ITS INACCESSIBILITY.
Interesting location.

It' s still there - seen on a Cache-Tour to the Riviera

I've been driving past it almost every day this week during our vacation.

Always fun finding a Benchmark when caching!

Waiting for the coinfest. Found it.

After visiting the mega event 2IEE I stayed a few days in Las Vegas, stayed in Circus Circus so I had a nice view of the Riviera.

Thanks

All I'll say is this took some talking and explaining to get security to escort me to the very top of a beautiful Hotel.
The wife had the camera and phone on the ground waiting as she didn't want anything to do with security and climbing on roofs. I felt so horrible that after getting the OK to make my way to the top I left my jacket with the wife.
It's there but be prepared to talk, talk, talk. Visit log 7/23/08 for some accurate photos.

Found while in town with my hubby

Finally found it after the GPS settled down

Found during a short trip to LV

Just getting around to logging this benchmark.

On a stroll in Vegas

After a few years of dreaming of logging this elusive Mark on the top of a Vegas Hotel, I snagged it with the help of a very nice art director at the facility who arranged my assault on the casino's highest point with some help from security... even so, I almost didn't find it as I was hesitant to climb up the 35 foot ladder precariously attached to the elevator room atop the hotel... but I summoned the courage and snagged it and the attendant reference marks as well... the description doesn't make sense in that you can walk up to the benchmark now, but I think they've filled in a roof on top of the elevator machine maintenance complex that wasn't there when the marks were placed back then... there is indeed a giant hole on one side of the mark which is a 40 foot drop to the ground if you were on the wrong side of the parapet....
