Stumbled upon this one as I was getting out of the car, on an adventure to a geocache nearby. Disc is pretty easy to read. Has Hanford No 1 1944 stamped on it.

Since moving here a year and a half ago I come out to the courthouse area quite a few times and never saw this benchmark but then again, I'm terrible at spotting these things without knowing that one is supposed to be there. This makes the second of four benchmarks today.

Out for a rainy Friday morning of benchmarking. The curb along the street is made of granite stone blocks that were placed when the court house was built in the late 1800's. There used to be some iron rings in the curb that were used for tying up up your horse or buggy.
