GT1321 was found at 10:15, 29 November 2014.

The mark was found generally as described and in good condition. Distances to the center lines of the roads are adequate, however the power pole described has been replaced, and the stop sign and witness post have been moved.

The mark was found to be 1 foot southeast of a of a wooden witness post painted white labeled "CO BM"; 9 feet southeast of a street sign with a stop sign; and 1.5 feet westerly of a relatively new powerful with overhead lines going in four cardinal directions.

WGS84 coordinates found by 4 minute occupation with 8 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.

Recovered in good condition while benchmarking with Buckmeadows.

W 119º 50.722. ALTITUDE READ AS 223 FEET. MARK IS ABOUT .1 FOOT BELOW GROUND SURFACE.

If I am correct, actual disc is now below ground level and marked with a two-foot high white, wooden post. Post is marked with "Co BM" which I interpret as possibly meaning County Benchmark.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
