Found in good condition. Description info: Set in top of Southeast end of southwest wall of catchment basin of 36 inch drain pipe. About 20 feet southwest of center line CA 129 and about 6 feet below roadbed.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 8.5 MI E FROM WATSONVILLE JUNCTION. 8.5 MILES EAST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE CROSSING OF SALINAS ROAD AT WATSONVILLE JUNCTION, 2 POLES SOUTHEAST OF MILEPOLE 92, AT A PRIVATE ROAD CROSSING, IN THE TOP AND 2.0 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST END OF THE NORTHEAST CONCRETE HEAD WALL OF 36-INCH PIPE CULVERT 91.87, 43.0 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST RAIL, 26 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SECOND POLE SOUTHEAST OF THE MILEPOLE, 25 1/2 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 129, 88 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, AND ABOUT 3 FEET LOWER THAN THE TRACK.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in February 1993.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
