STATION IS ON E EDGE OF LARGE FLAT KNOWN AS ESCALANTE DESERT AND 63 PACES N OF UTAH 19. SURFACE, REFERENCE, AND UNDERGROUND MARKS ARE STANDARD BRONZE TABLETS IN CONCRETE. AZIMUTH MARK IS A STANDARD BRONZE DISK IN A BOULDER. TO REACH STATION FROM PAROWAN, UTAH, GO N FROM POST OFFICE 0.2 MILE TO A SIGN ON L (LUND 40 MILES). THENCE TURN L AND FOLLOW MAIN GRAVEL ROAD W AND N 2.25 MILES TO A FORK. THENCE TURN L AND FOLLOW MAIN GRAVEL ROAD W 20.8 MILES TO JUNCTION WITH UTAH 19. THENCE CONTINUE NW ON UTAH 19 3.15 MILES TO TRAIL CROSSROADS AND STATION SITE TO R, N OF 19. DISTANCE TO STATION SITE FROM LUND RR STATION IS 12.7 MILES.   • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in November 1997.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
