Found at the coordinates given by Marky in 2002.

Looking south.

Went out to find a few benchmarks in our neighborhood with the boyz. The coordinates were a bit off but luckily I've worked with benchmarks before so I knew what I was looking for and the areas to search. Look near the southwest corner of the bridge and it'll be right there : )

Out riding my bike today, I saw it from the bike path, thanks to photos and descriptions from others. And then zoomed through the park for a closer look!

Stopped here on a whim and looked about. It is hard to see with the vegetation.

Found it. Wished I had my bike to ride along the path there...bet there are lots of caches along the trail.

Found it before the 7/7/7 Event!

I found this one while my 2 year old and I were walking home from the light rail station.

Freesia said there was a benchmark on the bridge and she was right.

Passed this between fruitless attempts at Airborne and 3 Cup caches.

Quick find, as described, well-marked with white paint.

You do have to jump over a fence to get a good look at the benchmark. It adds a little bit of adventure....

My 1st benchmark find. Not too tough. No camera today.

Looked for this one while checking out the closest benchmarks to our cache
Our Kind Of Town - Campbell.
You, must be very careful when trying to get to this one!

This one was a bit hard to photograph, had to climb over the rail to get close to it, and it's on a big drop off down to the creek.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in February 1993.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
