Found E875/1954 as described using previously posted coordinates. In case anyone's worried about the 1990 Recovery Note, there is no longer a security fence.

Mark is immediately in front of the corner of the tower's leg. S 1st Street is in the background.

Out with the boyz over Memorial day weekend and decided to hunt down a few benchmarks. This one was right where it was advertised!!

Found it while in the area...

Quick pickup on a busine... Err, I mean a little business on a Benchmarking trip!

Found it. Glad to find a benchmark at the tower. Usually I have found the tower itself is the station. The mark is hiding under a bush, already to be found.

The base for the rightmost leg in this photo contains the benchmark.

This one is still here and easily accessible. I will post picture later.

Found it. Don't know how many times I've passed this spot and never would have thought to look for a benchmark here. Then decided to go around the corner and fine the next nearest Campbell benchmark.

Found it before the 7/7/7 Event!

I used to work nearby and never knew this was here.

Logging this long after the fact. I have skipped so many for so long.

Found this after the venona activities. Strange how the tower itself is not a benchmark.

Easy find, though the coordinates were a bit off, I had to go back home (like a block away), to look at the description.

Easy to find from the Survet description. Nice little park.

Found in good condition. I didn't have a camera to take a picture but I took a waymark instead. 50sumtin

Covered up, but it's still there. TNLNSL (Just kidding!)

-The Buggy Bunch

Found marked as described and in good condition. This gets another benchmark off my list where it's been for way too long!

Wish it was the water tank and not just the base.

Go find this one on a Sunday morning, then wander a block over to downtown Campbell and go to the farmer's market.

A simple find. Good one to take kids to.

Son and I enjoyed a beautiful tour of downtown while finding this benchmark.

Under the symbol of our home town.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in February 1993.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
