Just started Benchmarking and this one was close to home. Found it in great condition however the pink ring of paint the previous few finders described is gone. I guess a few years since the last find wore the paint away. Good find though on a hot day :) I'll post pics if I can figure out how.

The pink ring does make it easier!

Still there and in good shape!

Drive by find while coming back from the homebrew shop. Flourescent orange paint ring really helps spot it while driving by on Camden.

Checked on the disk to kill time while the Jeep was getting smogged. It's still in good condition, and as I had noted while driving past it recently, it's now easier to spot with a pink paint ring.

Quick find, in fact I practically parked on top of it! It's in good shape and matches Marky's images, although there was more junk around. Station is marked "A877 RESET 1962".

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in February 1993.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
