DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 (JCS) THIS INTERSECTION STATION IS THE WATER TANK ON THE W SIDE OF THE BUILDINGS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HOSPITAL. THE TANK IS ELEVATED, ABOUT 100 FEET HIGH, AND IS PAINTED GREEN. INTERSECTED FROM TURNER, MOSS, DAVIS. TO REACH FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 50 IN FRENCH CAMP TURN W AT SIGN COUNTY HOSPITAL AND GO 0.6 MILE TO STATION ON LEFT.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (JEG) STATION IS A ROUND BALL AT THE APEX OF A ROUND-BOTTOMED, POINTED-TOP WATER TANK THAT IS SUPPORTED BY A 4-LEGGED, STEEL STRUCTURE 30 FEET SQUARE AT THE BASE AND 75 FEET HIGH. TANK EXTENDS 15 FEET ABOVE TOP OF LEGS. TANK AND SUPPORTING STRUCTURE ARE PAINTED SILVER. TANK IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE HOSPITAL BUILDINGS, ABOUT 5 MILES AIRLINE SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF STOCKTON AND 1/2 MILE WEST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 50.
