Found UU110/1932 as described at the coordinate provide by markens in 2002.

Quick find. The former BBC restaurant and bar is undergoing major renovation to open again at a later date.

Another one of those places I've walked by a thousand times without knowing about it!

Area shot looking northerly from NE side of El Camino Real. Disk is on horizontal section of ledge between the columns, partly in the shadow of the electrical conduit.

KurtP & I looked for this one yesterday without success. Frustrating! After studying past pictures in the logs I figured out where it had to be. And it was. It has been painted white and blends in very well.

RowanF and I came by yesterday and couldn't find it. After reading the logs we found it today. It has been painted over which makes it harder to see.

Found it -- still unobscured by landscaping.

I was hoping to make this a drive-by but I couldn't spot it and actually had to stop and look for it. :) Easily found once on foot though. It's a lot easier finding benchmarks with good prior logs available, thanks to those folks!!!

No more pink paint and the bushes are gone. Walked past the corner over 100 times and did not know the benchmark was there.

Thanks to Markens for the tips on finding this; those official descriptions get pretty convoluted! I'll upload photos of the benchmark and the British Bankers Club.

While you're in Menlo Park, be sure to check out the unlisted benchmark at the USGS Western Region Headquarters. It's in the flagpole circle in front of the map sales building, off Middlefield between Willow and Ringwood/Ravenswood. The mark is called WMC 1994 (WMC for the USGS's Western Mapping Center; 1994 for the year the control mark was placed). According to USGS, its coordinates are:

N 37 deg. 27' 22.636
W 122 deg. 10' 14.535

The flagpole circle is planted with lovely California native and other mediterranean plants. Do visit it if you get the chance. You can see photos of the benchmark and the surrounding area on my profile page.

On the side of the BBC Pub building facing El Camino Real, very near the corner at Santa Cruz Ave. Behind some bushes, although very easy to see from the sidewalk on the Santa Cruze Ave side. The BM is circled with flourescent pink paint, and the ID is readable. Didn't have my camera with me today, unfortunately.
