Wow... this brings back huge memories. I grew up nearby and used to go to Refredies(sp?) market all the time as a kid. That was a cool blast from the past to read the note and description.

There's now a large concrete sign for the U.S. Post Office in the area 32' north of the center line of Stevens Creek Blvd. and 108' southwest of the southwest rail of the Union Pacific tracks.

There are no remnants of a concrete foundation supporting a light pole in the immediate area. The nearby sidewalk, access road to the post office, and the landscaping seem relatively new. I'd consider this Benchmark destroyed.

It is doubtful that this bench mark exists. Shell station was torn down 20 years ago. Refredies Market is now the Cupertion post office.
