Found next to the large wooden sign.

I also found RM1 after a bit of poking around and digging off the overgrowth because the disk is at ground level.

I also found RM2 embedded in the corner of the stone lookout tower.

After reading the description of the Azimuth Mark, (0.2 miles south of the fork in the road) I did not look for this because it's on private property.

Mark found as described. I concur with DerekTiffany's coordinates.

With that said, I would have expected this one and the reference mark to have been in swapped locations. But they are not.

Found while on a hike to High Knob Tower. Great view!

Found this one during a trip to the virtual geocache, Back in Time. Beautiful stone tower, loved it!

Found as described in good condition. Station is located about 4-5 ft. north of a wooden sign for the High Knob Fire Detection Tower and now projects about 2 inches above the ground.

Once again, derektiffany's preparations had us ready to make the discovery here. His log will contain much better photos than I could take. All is well with this benchmark.

We hiked to the High Knob Tower last Halloween. I found a couple benchmarks along the way and took pictures of them. It wasn't until tonight 8/21/2010 that I could log that I found them on Geocaching.com. Go figure!

Easy find for No. 2, it just sort of reaches right out and grabs you.

Found it with my dad(dukemartin). His camera had a issue, no photos.

Found in good condition while doing the local cache. Had a camera malfunction, no photos.

Easy find behind the HIgh Knob Lookout Tower Sign and on the front tower base. Tried unsuccessfully to find the RM1 disk.

Excellent condition and proper position.
Couldn't find reference mark 1 or the azimuth mark. Reference mark 2 is in the base of the lookout tower. In situ photo is facing South.

Nice walk up. I found the pointer to this at the corner of the tower first, followed the arrow to here.

Found this as a part of a great ranger lead hike to the restored High Knob tower. We were accompanied by one of the original men who manned the tower in the 40's. He provided a lot of information and wonderful stories of this piece of history.
