Condition: poor

We came here from Switzerland for vacation. With our rentcar we want to see the East of USA. Two years ago we made a road trip in the West of USA and liked it very much. So now we would like to travel through Eastern USA.

In 20 days we drive from Boston MA to Portsmouth ME, Manchester NH, Green Mountains VT, Troy NY, Niagara Falls NY, Hamilton Canada, Detroit MI, Michigan City IN, Chicago IL, Milwaukee WI, Indianapolis IN, Cincinnati OH, Charleston WV, Washington DC, Dover RI, Atlantic City NJ, Connecticut, Rhode Island and back to Boston MA.

We could see many nice sites and of course we did some geocaching. This geocache was one of our finds.
During our road tour we found many beautiful and cool caches. We also met ticks, insects, different wild animals, nice plants and a lot of natural things we didn't know before our trip.
We liked most of the caches and were happy to find so many different boxes and logs.

When we went geocaching it sometimes was sunny and hot and another time it was rainy and cold. So we experienced different weather in different landscapes.

Thank you for this benchmark. It was great to search and find it.
Greetings from MarSon from Switzerland.

This Magnetic Declination station remains in mint condition after 61 years. The owner of the property(a very friendly and accomodating person)has placed an old well pump handle on top of stone base. Reference mark #2 is also in excellent condition, however Reference mark #1 appears to have had a layer of cement capping poured over it.The azimuth mark (downtown at corner of Lewis & Shrewsbury Street)has been destroyed. There is now decorative paved bricks for a sidewalk. See photos.
