DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 (WRH) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE VILLAGE OF HARTMAN, ABOUT 6 MILES AIRLINE NORTHWEST OF HOLLY, AND ABOUT 6 MILES AIRLINE NORTHEAST OF GRANADA. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN HARTMAN GO SOUTH 0.2 MILE TO A BRICK SCHOOL BUILDING AND THE STATION ON THE LEFT. THE STATION MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED HARTMAN 1954 SET IN THE TOP OF A 10-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT PROJECTS 1 INCH ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 6 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST AND 134 FEET EAST-NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE SCHOOL BUILDING. REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 1 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED HARTMAN NO 1 1954 SET IN THE TOP OF A 10-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND AND IS THE SAME ELEVATION AS THE STATION. REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 2 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED HARTMAN NO 2 1954 SET IN THE TOP OF A 10-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND AND IS 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE STATION. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED HARTMAN 1954 SET IN THE TOP OF A 10-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT PROJECTS 1 INCH ABOVE THE GROUND.
