Found in good condition and pretty much as described but the coordinates seem off a little bit. Not so much, though, that I couldn't blame it on satellite reception.

JV1944, Gettysburg, PA The picture came out very fuzzy. It's what I get for using a fixed focus camera.

Greetings Geocachers/Benchmarkers,
Now that the snow has melted, I found this benchmark with no difficulty. It’s in place as described, exactly where it’s supposed to be even if a few things are a bit dated. It was covered by eroded soil, but is now more visible. Coordinates and description are adequate for recovery.
Happy Benchmarking,
Ghosthunter

Control Text
- The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
- The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
- The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
- The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
- The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
