..not sure if this style is represented in the picture collection in the forums yet - it is on E side of another (modern) bridge about 100 ft south of X 159 - N 39°54.881 W 077°28.043

An easy find right where it is supposed to be. The stream was running quite full. There is also a PennDOT survey disk on the next bridge to the south right at the waterworks intake building.

This was my first benchmark--just late getting
it logged.

Found this mark easily. I located this one before benchmarking became part of the GC site.

Hi Geocachers,

Found this benchmark with my friends Arkman and gnbrotz.

The benchmark is in fine condition and right where it's supposed to be.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
