DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1947 4.3 MI SE FROM HAMILTON. 4.3 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT HAMLITON, ABOUT 11 RAILS SOUTHEAST OF THE GRADE CROSSING OF GILMORE ROAD, 18.4 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST RAIL, 14 FEET NORTHWEST OF POLE 21/07, 15 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF A CINDER LANE PARALLELING THE TRACKS, IN LINE WITH THE ROW OF TELEGRAPH POLES, 2.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST, 1.5 FEET BELOW THE TRACK AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 4 INCHES.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
