Saw this after locating a nearby geocache. The marker is in good condition.

Stopped to check on this one while out on a quiet Sunday cache/benchmark run. All is well.

The coords are off but it was easy to spot the witness post near the road. I found it at N39 04.281 W104 34.925.

Found this one while out caching with kwbforest today.

So close to the house.

Out getting a new tire and rim for my trailer and did some geocaching and benchmark finding along the way.

Out for a day of geocaching. Had to stop for a few benchmarks along the way.

very easy find.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 1.8 MI W FROM EASTONVILLE. 1.8 MILES WEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 50 FROM THE GRADE SCHOOL AT EASTONVILLE, 0.3 MILE NORTHWEST OF 3 LARGE RED BARNS, 0.1 MILE EAST OF A LANE LEADING WEST TO A FARMHOUSE, 36 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 1 FOOT NORTH OF A FENCE, 3 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 0.9 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
