Found while stopped to take in the view and the nearby cache. Weather was cool and breezy but the view spectacular.

My wife and I took a drive just to get out of the Sacramento gloom today. 10 inches of new snow overnight in the Sierra had us enjoying fresh, stunning winter scenery, white clouds and blue skies over Donner Pass. We had lunch in Reno, and then cached our way back home via the Feather River Canyon. After grabbing a nearby geocache, we stopped to grab this benchmark.

Found as described below.

Located this one while tracking a geocache nearby. :-)

My first benchmark. Kind of cool.

lots of water in the valley after the rain but none in the benchmark hole

Struck out on the nearby cache which has been muggled and is temporarily unavailable, but this was (as always) easy. Spe-bloody-tacular view from here of Butte County/Chico.

Missed the cache, too, but this was a quick find.

Couldn't find the cache in the area, but at least found this. :)

We found this one on our way home from my betterhalfs Mom's. Thank!!

Wow, a cache and a benchmark toooooo

Found while doing GCE224 of course. Nice Fourth of July along the Feather River. Lots of waterfalls this year. Beautiful!

Found it getting another cache, while doing the 'Fork in the Road' drive.

Very good view from here.

Found while we stopped for a rest and a cache.

found with a cache(A view and a benchmark too)

This has to be the most popular benchmark found by others. Still there in good shape.

I found this fairly quickly after finding the nearby cache.

found it while at A view and a benchmark cache

Found my first bench mark.

The view was great and such a short walk to the bench mark. I didn't log this the first time because I wasn't sure how to do but I did visit it the same day as the 'view'.

Buddy B's first Bench Mark. Nice twofer. Thanks R&C.

Thanks Rock & Crystal for this one. These are fun to find.

It was easier to find than the nearby cache. (The witness post helps.) Very hot day today.

Accidentally came across it while searching for a cache. Maybe it was fate! Errr, or maybe just a clear place in the grass that looked like the cache spot.

We found this benchmark close to cache area. An orange survey marker was next to it. Our first benchmark find, probably be our easiest.

Next to cache. Orange survy marker. Caltrans marker

Nice view. Thanks Rock and Crystal! Hey that road leads to the lake.

Found by accident while placing a cache.
