Triangulation disk and reference markers 1 and 2 are located on roof of a hospital building at Broadway between 167 & 168th St in Manhattan. The roof of this building is not accessible to the general public. All three disk are in good condition, although the site specific stamping is somewhat worn. Close-up photos have been edited (brightness and contrast) to try to bring out detail.

Reference mark 3 is located on the SE corner of 162nd St and Broadway. This marker is on a public sidewalk. Disk is very worn. Site specific stamping is not legible.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1937 (CDM) STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF A BRASS NAIL IN THE HIGHEST TAR-COVERED ROOF OF PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL, LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF 168TH STREET AND BROADWAY. THE STATION IS LOCATED NEAR THE SE CORNER OF THE ROOF, AND COMMANDS A VIEW OF NEW YORK, THE HUDSON RIVER TO THE VICINITY OF GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE, THE NEW JERSEY COASTLINE AND THE PALISADES. ACCESS TO THE ROOF IS VIA A CIRCULAR IRON STAIRWAY FROM T FLOOR OF THE HOSPITAL. THIS STAIRWAY IS PROTECTED BY A WIRE FENCE AND LOCKED DOOR. PERMISSION TO ESTABLISH THE STATION WAS GRANTED BY MR. JOHN MC CORMACK, SUPERINTENDENT OF THE HOSPITAL. SHOULD THE STATION BE REOCCUPIED IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO SECURE PERMISSION FROM THE SUPERINTENDENTS OFFICE. MARK IS A STANDARD DISK CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE E COPING STAMPED HOSPITAL 1937. REFERENCE MARK NO.1 IS A STANDARD DISK CEMENTED IN A DRILLED HOLE IN THE COPING CONNECTING THE E AND S COPING, STAMPED R.M.1 HOSPITAL 1937. REFERENCE MARK NO.2 IS A STANDARD DISK CEMENTED IN A DRILLED HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE S COPING STAMPED R.M. 2 HOSPITAL 1937. REFERENCE MARK NO.3 IS A STANDARD DISK CEMENTED IN A DRILLED HOLE IN THE SIDEWALK ON THE SE CORNER OF BROADWAY AND 162ND STREET, 4.050 METERS FROM THE S CURB OF 162ND STREET 7.61 METERS FROM THE E CURB OF BROADWAY, 0.565 METER FROM THE NW CORNER OF THE BUILDING ON THE SE CORNER OF BROADWAY AND 162ND STREET. THIS MARK IS STAMPED R.M. NO.3 HOSPITAL 1937. ALL OBSERVATIONS WERE MADE FROM A 6-FOOT TRIPOD SECURED TO THE ROOF BY SAND BAGS. THE TRIPOD WAS BUILT OVER THE TACK MARKING THE STATION.
