As described. Whoever used it last didn't put the cap back on the pipe so I had to dig out about an inch of mud. I replaced the cap.

Found this one as decribed pic help a lot thanks

This marker was easily found by following the 1979 NGS description. This marker is located along the edge of Lehigh Street on the property of Parkway Church of Christ. The marker is set a few inches below ground level in a white plastic pipe. The top of the pipe is protected with a threaded cap. It looks like a sewer clean out. The cap was only hand tight when I found it, and I left it that way after I was done.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
