Staying at nearby hotel overnite, looked at the benchmark from the legal side of the fence.

Survey stakes, flagging and dug out area indicate that the point is in good condition and obviously being used. I could not get closer than about 15' due to a chain link fence enclosing the property (Reading Regional Airport) with "No Trespassing" signs posted everywhere.

IT IS 0.05 MILE SE OF AIRPORT HANGAR, 70 FEET SE OF THE SE CORNER OF A WIRE FENCE AROUND THE PARKING LOT, AND 48.5 FEET NE OF THE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE 83, AND 300 FEET SW OF THE RUNWAY AT THE SE END OF THE AIRPORT. THE DISK IS STAMPED READPORT 1942 AND IS SET FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. SURFACE, UNDERGROUND, REFERENCE, AND AZIMUTH MARKS ARE STANDARD BRONZE DISKS SET IN CONCRETE, AS DESCRIBED. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS N OF THE STATION, BETWEEN THE PARKING AREA E OF THE HANGAR, AND RUNWAY RUNNING SE AND NW, AND ABOUT 125 FEET E OF THE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE 83. THE DISK IS STAMPED READPORT NO. 1, 1942 AND IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS NW OF THE STATION, 1 FOOT S OF THE WIRE FENCE AROUND PARKING AREA, AND 35 FEET E OF THE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE 83. THE DISK IS STAMPED READPORT NO. 2 AND IS SET FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS ABOUT 0.35 MILE SE OF THE STATION, 50 FEET S OF THE CENTER OF STATE ROUTE 83, 20 FEET E OF A LIGHT POLE, AND 8 FEET S OF A HIGH BANK THAT SLOPES E TO THE HIGHWAY. THE DISK IS STAMPED READPORT 1942 AND PROJECTS 4 INCHES. TO REACH FROM THE STATION GO SE ON STATE ROUTE 83 FOR 0.35 MILE TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 422 AND STATE ROUTE 83 AT PENN AND SECOND STREETS AT THE E END OF THE CONCRETE BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER, GO N ON SECOND STREET AND STATE ROUTE 83 FOR 0.1 MILE TO WASHINGTON STREET, TURN LEFT ON WASHINGTON STREET AND GO 0.1 MILE TO N FRONT STREET, TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.05 MILE TO A FORKS, BEAR LEFT ON STATE ROUTE 83 AND SCHUYLKILL AVENUE AND GO 2.7 MILES TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT 0.05 MILE BEFORE REACHING AIRPORT HANGAR.
