This marker disk was recovered in good condition by following the 1987 PennDOT description. The marker is located at the corner of Emmaus Avenue and 28th Street in south Allentown, PA.

DESCRIBED BY PA DEPT OF TRANSP 1987 0.4 MILES EAST ALONG INTERSTATE HIGHWAY I78 FROM THE JUNCTION WITH LEHIGH STREET IN EMMAUS, ON 26TH STREET SOUTHWEST AND EMMAUS AVENUE APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE I78, 61.0 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF EMMAUS AVENUE, 18.6 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF 26TH STREET AND 15.7 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST EDGE OF A METAL CATCH BASIN.

  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
