buried, have to get a shovel and possibly a metal detector to find this one. the park has been worked on since these last photos. will try again. Not bad for our first try.

I had to clean the mud off this one, but it was an easy find by description, coordinates and hole in the ground. As azog notes, Passaic Township has been renamed Long Hill Township. (They didn't want to be confused with Passaic City in Passaic County!)

found it with ease with the GPS and also directions on log.

I noticed the descriepancey of the latitude and longitude,

it should be:

40.41.493 N = this is correct
074.28.299 = this is wrong, the number should be 074.28.300

it is below ground about five inches, but it is being maintained and cleared of the surrounding dirt, and there is a 2 by 4 board with a pink flag on the top marking it now, It is near the benches where the kids play baseball,

This was fun as it is a nice park to sit and enjoy the scenery, and watch the joggers and bicyclists, and wild life, June 12,2005 I was there. Sparkie48

On my way up to a geocache (which i ran out of time to get). Stopped by to photograph this one.
