Found it

Hard to miss, and lucky they didn't cover it when they built an access ramp.
Some guy on a motorcycle kept watching me as I looked at the corner of the building. Maybe he thought I was a terrorist or something. I am sure the Sunbury PO would be a prime target.

This was our first benchmark find, and we are going to be looking for more, we really just were looking for caches, but this adds something extra to the hunt.

Found it with no problems. Still attached to wall

It is still there and always will be until the building goes.

Had to wait for train to pass to get to it!
Found it in good shape as described!

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
