As described. The disk is badly dinged and mostly unreadable. Only the word "RESET" is readable on it. Plus it was raining during my initial visit, so the photo posted was from a later visit.
I find it interesting that this line 4 starts in Cumberland County, goes east into Dauphin Co. Then a few in Indiana Co. Then the rest in Butler County. A long and rather erratic line.

Word RESET is visible below cross. Nothing else is readable.

found this one after work in butler....will upload picture at a later date when i can pull them from my camera...

Found for the benchmark contest.

As another finder said, the disk is in bad shape. But, I can still faintly see the markings so I think a rubbing would probably do the trick.

The mark is set in concrete and easily found in the top of the back wall as described. However, the stamp is severely marred and practically illegible.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
