DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (RWE) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 2 MILES SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF CHAMPAIGN. TO REACH FROM THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH NEIL STREET AND KIRBY STREET IN CHAMPAIGN, GO SOUTH ON SOUTH NEIL STREET (U.S. HIGHWAY 45) FOR 1.0 MILE TO THE TOWER ON THE RIGHT. THE STATION IS THE TOP OF A 3 LEGGED SELF SUPPORTING TOWER WHICH IS 424 FEET HIGH, IS PAINTED RED AND WHITE AND HAS A RED FLASHING RED LIGHT ON THE TOP.
