This mark was found along Rd. 120, 56 feet north of Rd. 120, 1.27 mi. west of the intersection of Rd. 120 and Rd. 55, and 245 feet east of a gate.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 17.9 MI SE FROM CARR. 4.25 MILES EAST ALONG A GRAVELED ROAD FROM THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD STATION AT CARR, THENCE 2.0 MILES SOUTH ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 85, THENCE 11.65 MILES EAST ALONG A GRAVELED ROAD, IN A PASTURE, 249 FEET EAST OF THE EAST END OF A GATE, 56 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF A GRAVELED ROAD, 14.7 FEET NORTH OF A FENCE, 2.2 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, 1.2 MILES WEST OF BENCH MARK J 310, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 0.3 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
